Destroyable blocks, or barriers, are special objects that can only be destroyed by specific weapons. They appear in many different forms throughout Make a Good Mega Man Level and Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, often blocking passageways and concealing power-ups. Typically, ineffective weapons will bounce off these blocks rather than pass through.
