The Tomahawk Platform is a gimmick from Mega Man 6, found in Tomahawk Man's stage. It is a rocket-powered platform that rises and falls.
Tomahawk Platforms were first available in the devkit for Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, and appeared in the entries SMB3, Changeable Caverns, But It Lacked the Depth to Convince Me That This is Really Hell, Donut Observation Center, Sector Upsilon 6, and Komuso Temple. They also appeared in the Wily stage Reality Core, the Tier X stages Coyote Man, Deep Thoughts, and Swiss Hotel, the Pit of Pits sublevels "Beach Party", "Epic Wrap Battle", and "Typical Miniboss Fights", and in Null and Void. They made further appearances in the Make a Good Mega Man Level: Episode Zero stages Contra Base, Lost Valley, Scarlet Temple, and Null and Void.
Behavior
Tomahawk Platforms fly upwards or downwards at a consistent speed. When they hit either solid terrain or an invisible stopper object, they pause briefly before moving in the opposite direction.
