Metall Swim is an enemy from Mega Man 4. It is a Metall designed for underwater use.

Metall Swim was first made available in the devkit for the original Make a Good Mega Man Level, where it appeared in the entries Level and Napalm Forest and Caves, as well as the Wily stage Flashback Database.

Metall Swim returned in Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, where it appeared in the entries Elec Dam, Duwang, Lava Factory, and Boil Man, as well as the Wily stage Reality Core, the Pit of Pits sub-levels "Cold Water" and "Safe Shallows", and in Null and Void. It also appeared in the Make a Good Mega Man Level: Episode Zero levels Toxic Tunnels and Null and Void, and the Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level entries Deep Dark Temple, Taking a Dip, Wily Station, and The End of Needle Man?!.

Behavior

Metall Swim will initially hide in its helmet. When Mega Man gets close, it will either swim upward or lunge forward while firing a spread of three projectiles. It will then continue to lunge and fire projectile spreads, slowly losing height with each lunge. When it reaches the ground, it will hide in its helmet again.

Metall Swim will stop moving upwards if there is no water above it, and it cannot move if there is no water around it at all.

Notes

  • The MaGMML1 devkit refers to Metall Swim as "Scuba Met".
