Metall Sniper is an enemy from Mega Man V. It is a Metall with a four-directional cannon in lieu of a traditional helmet. This cannon is just as impermeable, and can be used as a means of attacking Mega Man while hiding.

Metall Sniper was first made available via the release of the Megamix Engine, and will make its debut in the devkits for Make a Good Mega Man Level 3 and Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level.

Behavior

When Mega Man is far away from Metall Sniper, it hides underneath its cannon, protected from almost all attacks. Subsequently, it aims the cannon in one of four angles; 22 degrees below it, straight ahead, 22 degrees up, and a 45 degre angle. Every two seconds, it fires a shot at Mega Man in its current direction and angle. Once Mega Man gets close, it emerges from its cannon and charges towards him twice, before ducking back down under its cannon and repeating the cycle.

Like Piriparee before it, Metall Sniper is not a standalone enemy in the devkit. Instead, a user must bring in the functionally identical Fukuhorn, and set "col = 1" in its creation code. This replaces Fukuhorn's sprites with those of Metall Sniper.
