- "They attack by dropping their explosive body when Mega Man passes under them. Afterwards they are just glass shells with propellers that fly around."
- ―Note in Potton's code, Megamix Engine
Potton is an enemy from Mega Man 3. It is a surveillance robot with self-destructive tendencies, making it rather costly to keep.
Potton was first made available in the devkit for the original Make a Good Mega Man Level, where it appeared in the entry Spiky Meltdown, as well as the Wily stages Cannon Deck1 and Flashback Database.
Potton returned in Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, where it appeared in the entries Something Original, Taco Man, Jungle Base, Shovel Knight, and Identity Crisis, as well as the Wily stages Outer Space and Reality Core, the Tier X stage So Good, the Pit of Pits sub-levels "Concrete Mix", "Gambly Night", "Greenhouse Effect", "Spiky Meltdown?", and "Stormy Ascent", and in Null and Void. It also appears in the Make a Good Mega Man Level: Episode Zero level When Spike Drops Freeze Over.
While Potton went unused in Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level's entries, it managed to appear in the game's Weapon Tutorials, and is one of many enemies that Don Atetemino can summon from his boxes.
Behavior
Pottons will fly forward, turning around if they hit a solid surface. If Mega Man is below them, they will drop their heads, creating a small explosion and leaving their glass domes and propellers behind.
