Ring Ring is an enemy from Mega Man 4. It is a space exploration robot modeled after the planet Saturn that floats in the air while spinning.
Ring Ring was first made available in the devkit for the original Make a Good Mega Man Level, where it appeared in the entries Citadel Basement and NEON GRAVITY, as well as the Wily stages Dr. Wily's Incinerator Chute and Flashback Database. Make a Good Mega Man Level Remastered removes them from Dr. Wily's Incinerator Chute's redesign, while adding them to Cannon Deck and Hall of Fame's redesigns.
Ring Ring returned in Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, where it appeared in the entries Ancient Tomb, Airflow Hubble, Forgotten Fortress, Shovel Knight, Holy Crap, Mega Man Can Airslide?, But It Lacked the Depth to Convince Me That This is Really Hell, Escape Sequence, and Cyber Man, as well as the Wily stages Outer Space, Inner Sanctum, and Reality Core, the Tier X stage Star Road, the Pit of Pits sub-levels "City Night", "Deja Vu", "Mega Lift", "Overwater Atmosphere", " and "To the top", and in Null and Void. It also appeared in the Make a Good 24 Hour Mega Man Level entry Flooded Temple and the Wily stage Up 'n' Duck. It didn't make any major appearances in Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level, but it can be summoned by Don Atetemino alongside many other enemies during the game's final battle.
Behavior
Ring Rings will slowly chase Mega Man. They will curve their trajectory if they must turn around to face him, even in situations where he seemingly moves instantaneously to them (such as when Time Stopper or Flash Stopper is used to go behind them).
In Make a Good Mega Man Level and its remake, a modified version of Ring Ring exists with a gravity mechanic similar to those of Black Holes. Beyond affecting Mega Man's projectiles, they act identically to normal Ring Rings.
