Waltriot is an enemy from Mega Man 10. It is a small wheeled missile launcher that can move on walls and ceilings.

Waltriot is included in the Megamix Engine, and is planned to appear as a devkit enemy in Make a Good Mega Man Level 3 and Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level.

Behavior

Waltriots will move back and forth in a limited space, stopping to shoot a homing missile once it has moved a certain amount. If a Waltriot isn't connected to a solid surface, it will destroy itself.

Waltriots can be rotated to change what type of surface they move on, allowing them to be positioned on walls, ceilings, and even slopes. The only drawback to this is that they cannot be placed on ceilings by flipping them vertically (only rotating them 180 degrees will work).

By default, Waltriots are blue, but by setting "col = 1" in a Waltriots's creation code, it will turn pink. Waltriots can also have the following attributes customized in creation code:

  • How fast they move (default is 1.65).
  • How much they move left or right from their perspective (-1 will make these infinite; default value for both directions is 32)
  • How much it moves in pixels before shooting a missile (default is 128)
  • Direction it moves upon spawning (will be to its right if not specified or if set to 1, and to its left if set to -1)
