Brown is an enemy from Mega Man 6. It is a robot hiding in a durable barrel.

Brown was first made available in the devkit for Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, where it appeared in the Pit of Pits sub-level "Over the Pit".

Behavior

Browns will hide in their barrels, constantly lobbing projectiles in arcs. If their barrel is hit, they will briefly stop tossing projectiles to peek their head out before hiding again. In MaGMML2, shooting where their head would peek out even if they were hiding would be enough to deal damage to them, but the Megamix Engine brings them closer to their Mega Man 6 behavior by requiring that the head is actually peeking out for them to take damage. Browns can also be defeated in a single hit if their barrels are hit with a piercing weapon like Slash Claw or Laser Trident.

The Megamix Engine adds another attribute that makes Browns more accurate to Mega Man 6; Mega Man can stand on the sides and top of their barrels, but standing on the top of their barrels will cause their heads to pop out.
