Sprinklan is an enemy from Mega Man 10. It is a robot similar to Spring Head, but armed with small guns that give it additional range.

Sprinklan was first made available with the Megamix Engine, and subsequently the devkits for Make a Good Mega Man Level 3 and Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level.

Behavior

Sprinklans crawl along a flat stretch of ground, and upon reaching a wall or edge pause for a few moments before changing directions. If Mega Man shoots or touches them, their heads bounce back and forth on a spring while firing arcing projectiles a number of times. If Mega Man is at the same height as a Sprinklan, it will move faster as it tries to slam into him. Sprinklans are largely invincible, with only a few weapons being capable of destroying them.

Sprinklans have a number of creation code variables that affect their functionality:

  • col - Sets the colour of a Sprinklan's sprite (0 = blue (default), 1 = purple, 2 = orange).
  • shotMax - Sets the maximum number of shots a Sprinklan fires when triggered (by default, this is four).
  • slowSpeed - Controls the normal speed of a Sprinklan when moving along the ground.
  • fastSpeed - Controls the speed of a Sprinklan when Mega Man is on the same level as it.
