Monkikki is an enemy from Mega Man V. It is a modified Monking that throws dangerous bananas at enemies while jumping up and down.

Monkikki was first available with the release of the Megamix Engine, and appeared in the devkits for all games built with it. The first to use Monkikki was Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level, and it appeared in the entries Slipping Through Time, Spicy Banana Bread Storehouse, and Mystic Museum. It didn't appear (unmodified) in any Make a Good Mega Man Level 3 entries, but it still saw use in the Contest Weapon Playground, and the NEO Pit of Pits sublevels "Four Steps", "Jungle Wrecker", and "Time Is Monkey".

Behavior

Monkikki stands still for several seconds, before it throws a banana directly at him. If Mega Man draws close, Monkikki will start jumping up and down to make counter-attacking more difficult. How high a Monkikki can jump can be changed by a user in its creation code.

Trivia

  • Although Monkikki is intended to belong to the Nature and Primate categories, in both MaG48HMML and the current version of the Megamix Engine, a typo in its creation code ("categories" instead of "category") means that it actually has no categories at all, and thus it lacks their weaknesses.
