Returning Machine Gun Joe is an enemy from Mega Man 10. It is a Machine Gun Joe with a different firing rate.

Returning Machine Gun Joe was first made available with the Megamix Engine, and subsequently the devkits for all games using it. The first game to use them was Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level, where they appeared in the entry Flowers and Thorns. They returned in Make a Good Mega Man Level 3 in a greater capacity, seeing use in the entries Cycle Facility, Grand Fire Palace, Hunter Tower, Disobedience of Superior Machines, DISCHARGEEEE, Escape From the Wily City, Metal Man Steals Other People's Conveyors, Bold and Trash, Weapon Data Center, and Dangan Factory. The same game also included them in the Contest Weapon Playground.

Behavior

Returning Machine Gun Joes are initially protected by their shields, but will briefly pull them aside to fire six machine gun bullets, with them pausing after the third round. After doing this twice, they jump up in the air before repeating the pattern. Though their shields deflect non-piercing weapons, it is possible to knock it away by dealing enough damage per second to it.

By default, Returning Machine Gun Joes are green, but by setting col = 1 in a Returning Machine Gun Joe's creation code, it will turn purple.
