Monking is an enemy from Mega Man 2. It is a heavy ape robot that hangs on platforms.
Monking was first made available in the devkit for the original Make a Good Mega Man Level, but it did not appear anywhere in that game. It returned in Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, still not appearing in any entries, with its only presence being the Pit of Pits mini-stage "Magic Crash-Pit Ride". Monking's luck would finally turn around with Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level, in which it appeared in the entry Cryonics Lab.
In Make a Good Mega Man Level 3, Monking appeared in the entry Red Mountain, and the NEO Pit of Pits sublevels "Time Is Monkey" and "Year of the Monking".

Behavior
Monkings cannot be seen at first, but when Mega Man gets close enough, it will appear and rise up. If it finds a solid surface, it will latch on, and jump above it shortly after. Monking will then jump towards Mega Man periodically.
