The Time Stopper (タイムストッパー Taimu Sutoppā) is Flash Man's Special Weapon from Mega Man 2, which has the ability to stop time for a limited few seconds. The area becomes covered with twinkling lights to signify the effect. However, Mega Man has no means of attacking foes during stopped time, though some bosses slowly take damage themselves during the effect.

Megamix Engine

The Time Stopper is one of the weapons to appear in the Megamix Engine, as an example of a time-stopping weapon. It is available in the Example Game by defeating Flash Man. Unlike in Mega Man 2, the Time Stopper's effect can now be cancelled early by pressing fire again, or by switching weapons.

Damage Table

Because the Time Stopper has no means of attacking enemies, this table merely lists if the boss is frozen by it, with Y meaning it is, and N meaning it isn't. An asterisk (*) denotes a boss that takes damage over time while frozen.

Trivia

• Prior to Version 0.9.3 of the Megamix Engine, the Time Stopper reused the Flash Stopper's weapon icon (albeit with a different color palette). After this, it was given a unique icon to better distinguish it from said weapon.
