"A big soap bubble that hangs on ceilings until Mega Man gets close. It then drops down and jumps after him constantly."
―Note in Shaboan's code, Megamix Engine

Shaboan is an enemy from Mega Man V. It is a strange collection of soap bubbles with one eye.

Shaboan was first available with the release of the Megamix Engine, and thusly appeared in the devkits for all games built with it. Its MaGMML debut came with Make a Good Mega Man Level: Episode Zero, which used it in the levels Refurbished Pyramid, Bubble Base, and Entrance to Tier X. It returned in Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level for the entry Short Base; and in Make a Good Mega Man Level 3 for the entries Cycle Facility and Damp Ruins, as well as the NEO Pit of Pits sublevels "Chilly and Tubed" and "Double Bubble Trouble".

Behavior

Shaboan rests on top of ceilings, waiting until Mega Man gets close enough to it. When he does, it will drop down to the floor, and pounce after him. Only by getting out of a Shaboan's vicinity will it stop moving, only doing the occasional blink while waiting for Mega Man to get close again.
