Curlinger is an enemy from Mega Man 6. It is a robot that resembles a curling stone, and is used for surprise attacks.

Curlinger was first made available in the devkit for the original Make a Good Mega Man Level, where it appeared in the entry Maze of Death, as well as the Wily stage Cannon Deck (though it is absent in the remake's new version of said stage).

Curlinger returned in Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, and appeared in the entries Snow Man, Cardinal Man, Forgotten Fortress, Duwang, and Neapolitan Man. It also appeared in the secret level Twilight Lodge, the Wily stage Reality Core, the Pit of Pits sublevels "Cold Water" and "Ice Climber", and in Null and Void.

Behavior

Curlinger slides along the ground in one direction, picking up speed as it moves. If it hits a wall, it will rebound and slide in the opposite direction, retaining the momentum it had prior to the impact. It will also rebound if hit with the Slash Claw or Break Dash.

Trivia

  • In Make a Good Mega Man Level, they lacked their distinctive rebound sound when hitting walls. This sound is included in all MaGMML games and devkits from Make a Good Mega Man Level 2 onwards.
