Garyoby is an enemy from Mega Man 4. It is a mobile sawblade that moves like a Spine.

Garyoby was first made available in the devkit for the original Make a Good Mega Man Level contest, where it appeared in the entries Under Construction and Glass Man, as well as the Final Stage.

Garyoby returned in Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, where it appeared in the entries Joe Destruction Co., Poorly Named Level, AD 2101, Cossack's Other Citadel, and Conveyor Mayhem, as well as the Wily stages Inner Sanctum and Reality Core, the Tier X stage Null and Void, and the Pit of Pits sub-levels "De" and "Sandstorm Base".

Behavior

Garyobies will initially move forward slowly, turning around when they reach a ledge or wall. If Mega Man lands on its Y plane, it will move at a different speed.

By default, Garyobies are pink, but setting "col = #" in a Garyoby's creation code will change its color (1 makes it red, 2 makes it orange, and 3 makes it green). Creation code can also be used to decide a Garyoby's speed in different situations (measured in pixels per frame), with "slowSpeed" deciding the speed when Mega Man is not on its Y plane (default is 1), and "fastSpeed" deciding the speed when Mega Man lands on its Y plane (default is 2).
