Piledan is an enemy from Mega Man 10. It is a small floating robot that can plug itself into various machines.

Piledan was first made available with the Megamix Engine, and subsequently the devkits for all games created with it. Piledan's first appearance in a MaGMML game was Make a Good Mega Man Level: Episode Zero, appearing in the level Out of Order. It went on to appear in the Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level entries Megatroid and Central Computer, as well as the game's Weapon Tutorials.

Piledan returned in Make a Good Mega Man Level 3 for the entries Hunter Tower, House of Fun, and An Underwater Adventure? Wow!; it also appeared in the Contest Weapon Playground, and the NEO Pit of Pits sublevels "Boobeam Evasion", "Dangerous Desert", "Going 90 Degrees", and "Under My Control".

Behavior

Piledans slowly float down towards the bottom of the screen in a wave pattern, but will plug themselves into specific machines embedded in the ground if they happen to be in their flight path. Though a Piledan can be destroyed before it can activate a machine, if they successfully connect to one, the machine will emerge and the Piledan's abilities will change.

A Piledan Bomber flies up and down while slowly inching forwards. Every so often it will drop a bomb, which releases a harmful explosion on contact with the ground. The front of the machine is shielded, protecting it from harm from that angle.

A Piledan Turret sits in place and periodically fires projectiles in a volley of four, alternating from the lower turret to the higher one. Unlike Piledan Bombers, Piledan Turrets lack any kind of shielding whatsoever and can be freely damaged.
