Suzak & Fenix are a collective midboss from Mega Man 10. They are a pair of robotic phoenixes.
Suzak & Fenix were first included with the Megamix Engine, and were devkit midboss for all games using it. The duo made their MaGMML series debut in Make a Good Mega Man Level: Episode Zero as the final midboss of the stage Skyhigh Ridge. In Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level, they appear in the entry Combustion Castle, and in Make a Good Mega Man Level 3 they appear in the entries Temple of Light and Dark, Wilys Redemption, Mediocre Oil Level, Judgement Man, Weapon Data Center, and Cloud Nine. In the latter game, Fenix made extra solo appearances in Trouble in the Fortress and the Alter Playground.
Behavior
Suzak and Fenix will randomly choose between one of three moves:
- Switch vertical height (one will fly down, the other will fly up)
- Toss three flames that linger on the ground. This is only used by the higher of the two.
- Engulf themselves in flames and fly to the opposite side of the screen, swapping positions in the process.
Suzak (considered the purple one by the engine) and Fenix (considered the orange one) must be placed individually, with their positions in the editor representing the peak of their flight. The creation code value "high" determines whether or not the bird selected will start the battle at the top of the screen. By default, it is set to true; setting it to false will cause the bird in question to start at the bottom of the screen.
