Ballonboo is an enemy from Mega Man 9. It is a robot that floats in the air with the use of a hot air balloon.

Ballonboo was first made available with the Megamix Engine, and subsequently the devkits for all games created with it. Ballonboo's game debut was Make a Good Mega Man Level: Episode Zero, where it was used in Skyhigh Ridge and Null and Void. A Ballonboo appeared as an NPC in Tier 11 of Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level, but otherwise was entirely unused in that game.

Ballonboo returned in Make a Good Mega Man Level 3, and appeared in the entry Propeller Woman in the City in the Clouds, as well as in the Weapon Tutorials and the NEO Pit of Pits sublevels "Aquatic Aerials" and "Electrical Storm".

Behavior

Ballonboo floats up and down while frequently firing projectiles at Mega Man. If its balloon is hit, it will pop open and send Ballonboo flying across the screen in an attempt to slam into Mega Man, after which it will go offscreen. If Ballonboo itself is destroyed without popping the balloon, the balloon will harmlessly float off the top of the screen.
