Heli Buton is an enemy from Mega Man 6. It is a forest patrol robot built by Dr. Light, and later modified for combat by Dr. Wily.
Heli Buton was first made available in the devkit for Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, where it appeared in the entries Chomp Man and Launch Man & Shuttle Man, as well as the Wily stage Reality Core. It also appeared in the Make a Good Mega Man Level 3 Judge Application Level Coptar Man, the Make a Good Mega Man Level: Episode Zero levels The Red Woods and Looping Growth Garden, and the Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level entry Frigid Inferno.
Heli Buton returned in Make a Good Mega Man Level 3, in the entries Y.M.C.A., Alraune Woman, and Dunes of Discharge.
Contents
Behavior
Heli Butons slowly fly after Mega Man, lacking any other offensive options. By setting "variation = 1" in a Heli Buton's creation code, it will play an animation of it suddenly appearing from foliage and flying downwards, as it did in Plant Man's stage in Mega Man 6.
