―Note in Gorilla Tank's code, Megamix Engine

Gorilla Tank is a midboss from Mega Man 6. True to its name, it is a giant gorilla robot that moves on treads.

Gorilla Tank was first made available in the devkit for Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, where it appeared in the entries Airflow Hubble and Cursor Curse, as well as the Pit of Pits sub-level "Tselinoyarsk 20XX". It would go on to appear in the Make a Good Mega Man Level: Episode Zero stage Skyhigh Ridge, and the Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level entries Flamecrush Forest and Deep Within the Jungle.

Gorilla Tank returned in Make a Good Mega Man Level 3, and appeared in the entries A piece of cake, but with aesthetics, Wilys Redemption, and Disobedience of Superior Machines. It also appeared in the NEO Pit of Pits sublevel "Time Is Monkey".

Behavior

Gorilla Tank will slowly move forward, periodically stopping to perform one of two attacks:

  • Fire its right hand forward to punch Mega Man.
  • Fire a cluster of five small projectiles one at a time, starting at the lowest angle and ending at the highest.

Gorilla Tank can only be damaged by hitting its head, but firing at its left hand will push it backwards slightly.
