"A fat frog, and a pretty ugly one, it will puke babies when none are on the screen"
―Note in Croaker's code, Megamix Engine

Croaker is an enemy from Mega Man 2. It is a large robotic frog that spits out smaller frog robots known as Petit Kerogs.

Croaker was first made available in the devkit for the original Make a Good Mega Man Level, where it appeared in the entries City War, Level, Wily Combo, Napalm Forest and Caves, and Maze of Death, as well as the Wily stage Be the Bigger Person. Make a Good Mega Man Level Remastered, however, omitted them from the redesigned version of the latter stage. Wily Combo also gives Croaker and its Petit Kerogs unique sprites.

Croaker returned in Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, where it appeared in the entries Cardinal Man, Something Original, The Dampening, and Misty Lake, as well as the recreation of City War, the Wily stage Reality Core, and the Pit of Pits mini-stages "Ancient Town", "Be the Bigger Person?", "Labyrinthe Throwback", and "Waterfall". It also appears in the Make a Good 24 Hour Mega Man Level Wily stage Wily 3, in Make a Good Mega Man Level: Episode Zero's first stage, Explosive Freefall, and in the Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level entry Through the Crabacombs.

In Make a Good Mega Man Level 3, Croakers were used in the entries Not Delivering On Promises, Hunter Tower, Creatively Named Level, Froggy Gravity, Working in the Rain, and Sulfurific Abyss. Additionally, they appeared in the NEO Pit of Pits sublevels "Aquatic Aerials", "Bigger Fish", and "Lock and 'Fall Torture".

Behavior

Croakers will stand in place at first. If no Petit Kerogs are on-screen at the time (whether it be their own or those of another Croaker), they will spit out three Petit Kerogs. The Petit Kerogs will periodically jump in Mega Man's direction.
