Sniper Joe was first made available in the devkit for the original Make a Good Mega Man Level contest, where it appeared in the entries Midnight Snow, Napalm Forest and Caves, Under Construction, and Thunderclyffe Plant, as well as the Wily stage Dr. Wily's Incinerator Chute.

Make a Good Mega Man Level Remastered also adds it to the redesigned Wily stages Be the Bigger Person and Flashback Database.

It returned in Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, where it appeared in 13 entries. It also appeared in the Wily stages Outer Space, Inner Sanctum, and Reality Core, the Tier X stages Nightwalk Castle and Null and Void, and the Pit of Pits rooms "Gambly Night", "Spinning Top Disposal Room", and "The Top 10 Most Commonly Used Enemies, In Increasing Order" (where it is placed as number five).

In Make a Good Mega Man Level: Episode Zero, the default Shield Attacker was only used in one single stage, Lost Valley.

 +
In Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level, Shield Attackers appeared in the entries Abandoned Mine, Wily Station, and Twilight Fortress, as well as in the game's Weapon Tutorials. When they returned for Make a Good Mega Man Level 3, they were present for its tutorials as well; beyond which, they saw use in the entries Trouble in the Fortress, The Warped Void, Tower of Dimentions, Identity Man, Outer Reaches, and Ninja of the Night. The game also used them in the Tier X stage Thermae Man, and the NEO Pit of Pits sublevels "Flowerfell Forest", "Mega Man Fusion" (reskinned as a Moto), "Nasty Gear", and "Simon's Revenge". Alongside the original, several Shield Attacker variants, devkit and custom alike, made further appearances in levels.

Shield Attackers will fly straight forward, turning around when they hit a wall or an invisible stopper. Only a select few weapons can damage it from the front, but it is fully vulnerable from behind.

Shield Attacker is an enemy from Mega Man 4. It is a tall flying robot with a shield on its front.

Shield Attacker was first made available in the devkit for the original Make a Good Mega Man Level, where it appeared in the entries Midnight Snow, Napalm Forest and Caves, Under Construction, and Thunderclyffe Plant, as well as the Wily stage Dr. Wily's Incinerator Chute. Make a Good Mega Man Level Remastered also adds it to the redesigned Wily stages Be the Bigger Person and Flashback Database.

It returned in Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, where it appeared in 13 entries. It also appeared in the Wily stages Outer Space, Inner Sanctum, and Reality Core, the Tier X stage Nightwalk Castle, the Pit of Pits rooms "Gambly Night", "Game Over - Return of Fire", "Mega Man a - Area 3" (where it is reskinned as a Pressor), "Spinning Top Disposal Room", "The Top 10 Most Commonly Used Enemies, In Increasing Order" (where it is placed as number five), and "Up And Down", and in Null and Void. In Make a Good Mega Man Level: Episode Zero, the default Shield Attacker was only used in one single stage, Lost Valley.

Behavior

Shield Attackers will fly straight forward, turning around when they hit a wall or an invisible stopper. Only a select few weapons can damage it from the front, but it is fully vulnerable from behind.
