Make a Good Mega Man Level: Episode Zero

You may not need a space helmet here, but you might need a tinfoil hat.

Psionic Space Station is a level in Chapter 3 of Make a Good Mega Man Level: Episode Zero. Accessed via Tier X, it is a space station that is home to a number of security robots and traps, chiefly Securans, their sentries, and wall-mounted laser cannons that fire at frequent rates. The psychokinetic Robot Master Psionic Man also dwells here, and will send enemies and hazards to stop Zero as he approaches his lair. Amidst all this, a very simple moving platform gimmick spices up platforming throughout the stage.

Strategy[edit]

After a long drop to the bottom, Securans and their sentries will be seen hovering near Space Platforms and Wall Blaster IIs. Getting spotted by a sentry's light will mean trouble, as all onscreen Securans will shoot lasers straight at Zero no matter where he is. The Z-Burst can effortlessly clear out a screen of sentries thanks to their low durability and the weapon's wide coverage, which helps in the next few screens as the sentries become more spread out. Boostuns and New Shotmen will also try to attack from afar, with the former's missiles doing considerable damage. At the top of a short tower of Securans, a Cannopeller floats in front of a ladder leading to a small room with a CD and an E-Tank. Getting both, however, is impossible without the Double Jump due to a pit of spikes nearby. Even then, timing the jump is tricky, though equipping the Psycho Chip gives a little more reaction time thanks to its low gravity.

Be careful going downwards, for a bottomless pit lies below the Space Platforms. After a battle with a Hyoey, the first (useful) checkpoint of the level will be reached; beyond it are the introductions of G Cannon Heads, which fire lasers at regular intervals. Next is a large open area combining G Cannon Heads with the pre-established enemies and gimmicks. A single Shield Guarder blocks what is intended to be a one-way passage, but with risky use of the Z-Saber (or the Icicle Chip's Blank Drive) Zero can kill the Shield Guarder and bypass the upper route entirely. The level's second CD also lies in plain sight here, but can be tricky to get to from the upper path. Several cannons later, and another Hyoey is encountered; this one in an arena with two pits and a G Cannon Head firing downwards. Defeating it opens up the path to the next checkpoint.

Not much time is given in the next section, as a set of Closing Doors slowly rise up/fall down in an effort to crush and/or entrap Zero, with a handful of enemies trying to slow him down. After surviving this, the last challenge of the stage is a long elevator ride. Frequently, two laser cannons will teleport in and attack Zero; one near the top of the screen that tracks him three times, firing lasers each time, while the other charges a laser while tracking his current height, stopping just before firing. Once both go away, the elevator stops as a group of enemies are summoned, all of which need to be killed for the elevator to keep going. First, four Boostuns are called in, while the second time, two Hyoeys appear. After a third cannon barrage (in which an airdash is needed to avoid two cannons), the elevator reaches the top of the space station, with a single Dachone standing guard outside the boss door.

Well, I can actually sort of track you this time... No coordinates, but you're... way far away in space.

Did you reroute your tracker or something? There's no way these numbers aren't an error, come on.

Other than that, it... seems like a space station. Security robots, overly experimental Robot Master, etc.. Woohoo.

ZPhoneKrantz.png Agent Krantz Krantz: Psionic Space Station?

That space station doesn't look like anything in our records...

At a glance though, those Searchies seem like they'll alert the Securan if you get caught, which will fire at your
location. There's also G Cannon Heads, which will fire lasers in one of four directions.

The Shield Attackers there also won't change direction, so it's best to slash them rather than wait for them to turn.

Zero: That name... Securan.

How did you know its name if you had no records until now?

Krantz: I... don't know.

It's almost like someone told me the name as I was talking about it.

Like how I can tell there's a large elevator with an enemy rush as you approach the Element.

ZPhoneGalaxy.png Galaxy Man (CD #1): Ohh, after you enter the cool gray zone place, make sure you take the first suspicious ladder you see!

But after that, you might need some kinda vertical boost to grab it... You think you could buy one somewhere?

(CD #2): Okay, so there'll be a big room you'll come across, right? Don't take the top right ledge!

Instead, go downwards, and then you'll find the CD! Just make sure to not bonk into a laser!

ZPhoneYamato.png Yamato Man Yamato Man: Psionic Man? Where even are you?!

Zero: I seem to be in a space station.

Yamato Man: And you're still getting reception?! Maybe that psionic guy just wants to take your phone; I know I sure do, now!

Zero: ...That is not comforting.

Yamato Man: Well, I can always take it later; currently, we need to focus on our opponent.

Psionic Man's laser cannons block shots, so make sure to not only position yourself to dodge the lasers, but also get shots in!

If his name doesn't make it obvious, he can move more than just his cannons too, so keep your calm if he decides to pick you up,
because he'll fire lasers right below you, and you'll only get hurt if you panic and stomp as soon as he drops you.

Maneuver yourself with grace!

ZPhoneKnives.png Knives Knives: Scenic view from a space station... Pretty good, but there's security robots all over the place!

I can't afford to be marked down in ANY government record, so we can't be anywhere near those!

I have to stay in hiding, legally. So, pick another spot.

Zero: ...Theoretically, if I were to join forces with the government, would you then stop following-

Knives: Ooh! OOH! A man on the inside! That's a perfect idea! You and me, we can take them down together!

Zero: Never mind.

Knives: We'll expose the truth behind the milk industry, destroy the factory at the earth's core...

Just the two of us versus the world! Now THAT'S romance!

Zero: I severely regret suggesting this.
