Boomer Kuwanger is one of the eight Maverick bosses from the original Mega Man X. In Make a Good Mega Man Level: Episode Zero, he is completely reimagined, appearing not as a single physical robot, but a computer program that takes a holographic form to battle enemies. In this form, it appears in the stage Vertical Hunger as a midboss. Several copies of Boomer Kuwanger also attack Zero towards the end of the same stage in an enemy rush, and many more merge themselves together to form the stage's ultimate boss, Giga Kuwagata.
Battle
Boomer Kuwanger has a maximum of three attacks, each of which it picks at random:
- Teleporting a certain number of times. The amount of times it tries to teleport is random, but the final attempt will always aim for Zero's current location. Although Boomer Kuwanger will try to telefrag him, it is completely incapable of getting off the ground.
- Throwing its Boomerang Cutter at Zero. The cutter travels a small distance before returning to Boomer Kuwanger itself.
- Dashing towards Zero to crash into him and/or close the distance between itself and him.
When attacking Zero en masse on Vertical Hunger's final elevator, Boomer Kuwanger attacks in the same way; however, each one has a paltry 2 HP, allowing Zero to quickly finish them off with little trouble. By defeating twelve of them, the elevator to the end can continue.
