Magnetic Shockwave (マグネティックショックウェーブ Magunetikku Shokkuwēbu) is a super move from the Marvel Vs. Capcom series of fighting games, normally used by Magneto and Onslaught. It is a wave of magnetic blasts that deal heavy amounts of damage. In Mega Man's arcade mode ending from Marvel Vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes, he is shown getting Magnetic Shockwave as a special weapon from Onslaught, and he can use Magnetic Shockwave as a super move in the PlayStation port of the game.
Make a Good Mega Man Level 3
Magnetic Shockwave is one of the weapons voted to appear in Make a Good Mega Man Level 3. Like in Marvel Vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes, it covers a very large portion of the screen (roughly 1/4 of it). The weapon can pass through walls and be used in the air, and it can pierce shields. Despite this, shielded enemies are more resistent to damage from it; enemies under the "Joes", "Shielded", and "Shield Attackers" categories take 1 point of damage, and "Met" enemies are completely immune to Magnetic Shockwave. "Bulky" category enemies, however, take 4 points of damage, making it ideal for destroying minibosses quickly.
