Defeat the Giant Spear Man! is the third level in Chapter 1 of Make a Good Mega Man Level: Episode Zero. After climbing out of Gusty Gorge, Zero encounters the greedy treasure-hunter Wario, who offers to give him an Energy Element in exchange for defeating the Giant Spear Man and his gang of assorted Wario Land enemies. The level lacks any major gimmicks at first; being a simple platforming level with a Wario Land 2 skin, where Zero traverses across a beach harbor and its two buildings, fighting the Giant Spear Man three times, but after the third fight does the level give homage to Wario Land 4 and quickly becomes a mad rush back to the start under a time limit.

...Oh, right. That beach. I think everyone just left that place to whoever parked themselves on it.

Some weird guy just showed up one day searching for that... "Giant Spear Man"... and wouldn't leave.

Is this kind of stuff the work of one of those weird re-enactment groups or something?

ZPhoneKrantz.png Agent Krantz Krantz: Defeat the Giant Spear Man?

Most of the cute little critters there should be easy to beat, should they get in your way,

But one of them, Gugi, will get super-aggressive if it sees you standing by.

...well that's... odd...

Zero: What is it?

Krantz: Apparently, the tower there was scheduled to be demolished a month ago.

Some guy bought it before that could happen, but I don't have any records of the explosives being removed...

Zero: I will keep that in mind...

ZPhoneGalaxy.png Galaxy Man Oh, you're gonna need all the pieces of a big red gem for this one! Search ALL over!

If you feel like you're missing one, just make sure to search every nook and cranny for passages!

ZPhoneYamato.png Yamato Man Giant Spear Man (1) Giant Spear Man?

Sounds like you can hit him really easily if you aim your shots downwards when you're airborne, even if they're protected.

You could even camp out on the edge and aim from below without any risk, because he can't ever reach there!

Let them be a lesson: When it comes to the battlefield, never have a comfort zone you cannot leave.

Giant Spear Man (2) Giant Spear Man? Again?!

Well, make sure you stay on the opposite level of where he is and aim your buster respectfully.

If you wanna be real brave, get behind that spear's end when he launches it for a chance to get in more damage!

His chains don't deal any damage, but even if they did, they still wouldn't hurt nearly as much as the chains of fate...

Giant Spear Man (3) Giant Spear Man? Another one?!

Looks like this one's got plenty of tricks up their sleeve.

Get some distance when he tries to shoot fire at you, and only jump and dash when the fire wave starts moving!

Make sure to get rid of the miniature versions of him that the owl throws at you before dealing with the big one.

They're as annoying as any other children I've come across!

ZPhoneKnives.png Knives Hey, what the heck?! We're not going to be dating when there's WARIO around there!

Don't let his demeanor fool you, Zero. He's totally working for the Illuminati!

Why else would he have come out of a wormhole?? Along with that spear guy??

They're all in cahoots, Zero! All agents of the powers that be! Too distracting.

No dating when Wario is around. And that's final.
