Fake Man is a Robot Master from Mega Man 9. He is a robot built by Dr. Wily to resemble a police officer, and played a major role in his scheme to frame Dr. Light for his own crimes.
Fake Man first appeared in Make a Good Mega Man Level 2 as an NPC in Tier 5. After interacting with the Polybius machine once, it permanently disappears and Fake Man stands in its place, denying its existence. He reappears as an NPC in Make a Good Mega Man Level: Episode Zero, and can be found within Chateau Chevaleresque in Mega City after defeating at least one of the five Golems. By speaking to him, Zero can choose to disable any chip efficiency upgrades he has collected from the Golems; however, Fake Man will disable and enable all available chip upgrades at once, without allowing upgrades to be selectively toggled.
In Make a Good Mega Man Level 3, Fake Man makes a special appearance as an NPC that can appear after completing the entries Not Delivering On Promises or I Hope I Lose: A Grand Tale. By collecting certain "illicit" items contained in either level, he will appear upon leaving to confiscate them from Mega Man. Additionally, he appears as a surprise boss in the Masters' Mausoleum Arena, mixed in with the devkit Robot Masters.
Battle
Fake Man will run back and forth across the arena, waiting for the shoot button to be pressed. When this happens, he will leap backwards while firing two shots straight ahead, then jump across the room while firing two shots aimed at Mega Man, before finally jumping straight up and firing another two straight shots. After landing from this last jump, Fake Man will pause to spin his Revolver Buster before repeating the pattern.
