Dark Man 4 is a boss from Mega Man 5. The fourth and last of the Dark Man series of robots, Dr. Wily created Dark Man 4 for two purposes; destroy Mega Man (obviously), and frame Proto Man for his latest world domination scheme. To this end, he has the firepower of Dark Man 1, the electromagnetic barriers of Dark Man 2, and the jumping capability of Dark Man 3. Unlike the others, he can also send his shields out as an attack, speed up their rotation, and disguise himself as any target.
He was added as a boss in the Megamix Engine, and therefore will appear in Make a Good Mega Man Level 3 and Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level as a devkit boss. Notably, he has a customisable introduction where he can appear disguised as the player, as Proto Man (complete with off-key whistle), as someone or something else, or skipping a disguise altogether.
