Tako Trash is a boss from Mega Man 4. It is an octopus-shaped robot originally created to process garbage, before being converted and powered up by Dr. Wily into a combat robot.

Tako Trash appears in Make a Good Mega Man Level 3 as an NPC hidden within Tier 2, in a secret room only accessed via the underground conveyor connecting both sides of the gauntlet. A self-described loremaster, it will tell Mega Man one of several stories for a fee of 30 bolts per story. These stories expand the mythos of the MaGMML series, ranging from background details about the setting, summaries of past games, and histories for important characters such as the tournament rivals and the Make a Good Mega Man Robot Master winners.

Tako Trash can also repeat any story of Mega Man's choosing free of charge, provided it has already told it once before. Some stories, however, require Mega Man to fulfill some criteria before they will be told, usually collecting a number of Tier Ranks or meeting a specific character. Listening to all of Tako Trash's stories unlocks the "Good Listener" achievement.

Dr. Cossack's machines Oh, you may find this one interesting. It is the story of how I came to rest in this junkyard!
A long time ago, the famous scientist Dr. Cossack was manipulated and forced to create dangerous weapons of war!
You may have heard this tale before. In fact, I was one of those creations, at least partially...
But Cossack, he never had the heart to create those weapons. So I, along with the others, were crushed easily.
A valiant blue warrior came to the rescue, and freed Cossack from his shackles!
But Cossack was ashamed of having built those weapons, and so discarded all of us.
Many of us were eventually pawned off or found a new purpose elsewhere...
Until two of us remained... Myself, and another machine named Square Machine.
I was content to remain in the junkyard, but that other machine seemed determined to find their own purpose.
One day, they disappeared from the scrapyard... I wonder what became of them?
The festival committee Ah, this one is a bit shrouded in mystery, even by my standards! Take this one with a grain of salt.
In some circles, there are claims that in the old festivals, there was a committee that inspected each of the simulations.
They sent out teams of robots to make sure nothing was out of line or wildly dangerous.
If you're surprised to hear this, it's because they kept it fairly under wraps, or so they say on the grapevine.
They shut down the entire program when one of the teams completely disappeared on them.
As the rumor goes, that team went crazy and started stealing festival property.
Caused a whole lot of trouble, until some unknown figure took them down, and then they were erased from all records...
Quite suspicious, hmm? Like I said, quite a bizarre story. Believe it if you'd like!
Mr. X's true identity Here's one. I'm sure you're aware of Dr. Wily's obsession with disguises, aren't you?
He's put on yet another one for this tournament, in fact... That so-called "Ernest Will"!
But his earliest, first disguise... do you remember it? It has been a while.
He posed as someone named "Mr. X" to host the 1st Annual Robot Tournament.
Apparently, though, some say that there was a real Mr. X all along, and he was erased from history...
Supposedly, Dr. Wily came under the employment of this Mr. X after the Gamma incident.
And when he thought the time was right, he made his move and disposed of that Mr. X.
That's where the story ends... That Mr. X is almost certainly deceased by now. We may never know the truth...
The Alpha Satellite Hmm... Do you remember when the Stardroids attacked Earth? It was quite a frightening time.
Dr. Wily, being himself, tried to take control of that situation with that massive Wily Star of his.
But did you know that said Wily Star wasn't originally created by him?
According to ancient texts, it was a space station the Stardroids had been hibernating in beforehand.
It was called the "Alpha Satellite", and supposedly was intended to be an artificial moon.
A name like the "Alpha Satellite" implies that there were more of them, but there's no evidence of another.
Even that Wily Star II Dr. Wily used not that long ago was virtually unrelated...
It was built into the side of a meteor, with the intent of mining a rare material.
Dr. Wily supposedly reused the moniker solely to play up his grand return.
Energy Elements' origins Oh! I am sure you are curious about this one... It is a tangent about the mysterious Energy Elements!
With the advent of easier space travel, many robots were sent out on expeditions.
Soon enough, they had discovered a powerful source of energy scattered about on several planets!
It wasn't long before there was a scramble to obtain that material. Even Drs. Light and Wily got involved.
A while after that, a process to synthesize the element was discovered, and Energy Elements became mass-produced.
Rumor has it, though, that those Energy Elements were all tainted with some other energy...
And something like that would certainly explain the odd behavior I heard that they had during the old festivals.
But it seems that the energy has dissipated now, and the Energy Elements are nothing but batteries once more.
I wonder how that energy dissipated? Did someone get rid of it? Would someone truly have the power to do that?
Wargate incident This one is quite recent in the public memory, but just in case you have not heard about it, I will tell you about Wargates.
The Wargates were these mysterious portals that appeared after an experiment by Dr. Cossack went wrong, apparently.
...That is what they say, but I've heard rumors that they came from a "crack in the timestream", whatever that means.
Either way, those portals lead to alternate dimensions other than our own, and strange beasts came forth from them!
Many Robot Masters worked hard to fight those off, and the Wargates were stabilized.
The Energy Elements apparently played a role in making them so volatile, back when they were still unstable.
The Wargates still exist, but they're exceptionally rare now. Very few appear from our side, so to speak.
It would seem that the so-called era of easy dimensional travel is over. Perhaps that is for the best.
The Reality Core Obtain five Tier Ranks Ah! Do you recall the second festival? That was when the incident with the Reality Core occured.
That dangerous device was truly one of a kind, and has a bit of history to it.
Typically for Dr. Wily, the base for that Reality Core was something he discovered by accident.
That reality-warping technology was based off of a mysterious device that he stumbled across one day.
He built a core around it, with little care for how dangerous the process would be.
That nefarious buffoon Dr. Regal also claims to be an expert on that Reality Core, but I don't know how.
There was only one Reality Core, after all. After it was destroyed, it seems to have been lost forever.
I've heard on the grapevine that Dr. Regal has been desperately trying to recreate it to no avail.
Not surprising, really... How could someone that idiotic recreate a device like that?
The Arena systems For this tale, I might be making an assumption here, but you've heard of the Arena set of simulation systems, yes?
They have existed for some time now, and I recall hearing one being present all the way back at the first festival.
It seems that a robot named Ghost Woman is hosting the latest iteration of them for this tournament.
But that is beside the point. I once heard an interesting rumor about these Arenas, in that a flaw was present in them.
The Energy Element used to power it was not only heavily integrated into the system, but tainted by an outside force.
Supposedly, this had a number of side effects, though what they are varies with who is telling this story, really...
I once heard someone claim that the Elements in those systems were tainted by the "soul" of a long-dead evil robot.
That "soul" merged with the data, and that same person claimed it kept resulting in powerful, monstrous fusions.
Either way, it seems that these "tainted" elements are no longer with us, so we may never know the truth.
Cerberus Man's story Obtain seven Tier Ranks Hmmm... I'm sure you're familiar with Cerberus Man, yes? He's one of the participants in the ongoing tournament.
Cerberus Man is quite the beloved name around here. For long-discarded robots like us, he is something of a beacon.
Supposedly, he managed to rebuild himself after a near-fatal accident. I suppose his eyes were opened by that experience.
He has quite a knack for recycling and reusing... I believe those extra heads of his were damaged robots he bonded with.
I've heard from Junk Man that he plans to use the prize money for tournament[sic] to open a rehabilitation reserve of sorts...
...a place that forgotten robots can use as a safe haven, and find themselves a new lease on life.
I'm not completely sold on the idea myself... perhaps I've gotten too used to things around here, however.
He certainly has noble goals... and considering how loud and proud he is of them, that is worthy of respect, I believe.
Hunter Woman's story Ah! With you joining the tournament, I'm sure you've encountered that Hunter Woman. She's a strange fellow, isn't she?
But she's good at heart. And quite a fan favorite! It's no surprise that many are rooting for a veteran such as her.
Do you remember the 1st Annual Robot Tournament? The one that Mr. X hosted? That was where her legacy began, in fact!
Back then, she was actually eliminated by Plant Man, one of the tournament's underdogs.
She was no match for his unorthodox abilities, and was taught a humbling lesson not to underestimate her opponent.
I've heard they've become good friends since. It helps that they and their creators are fellow Brazilian countrymen.
I'm sure you'll get along well with her. Her social skills aren't the best, but she is fierce and passionate like no other.
...I worry, however. Robots built purely for combat... many of them have lacked a sense of purpose, in my experience.
I wonder how she feels.
Presto's story Obtain three Tier Ranks I'm sure you've encountered Presto by now, that terminally bored racing champion.
They're rather unpopular, it seems. I am hardly one to hate another robot, but it's easy to see why.
I've heard on the grapevine that they were built by a French roboticist to test an experimental fuel source.
The roboticist did their job a little too well, however... Presto proved unstoppable once they began their racing career.
They won marathons and Battle & Chase tournaments left and right, earning the ire of their fellow racing robots.
...this was worsened when Presto, exhausted with their victories, began spicing things up with self-imposed challenges.
Many saw this as an insult to the sport... though Presto does have one fan, I've heard. Hard Man.
As the story goes, Presto struck a deal to use the man himself as "added weight" during a Grand Prix...
...and Hard Man, given a new perspective on life in turn, became enamored with them. He is easily their most avid supporter!
Though their attitude justifies their reputation in many peoples' eyes. Don't let them get under your skin.
Element Man's story Obtain seven Tier Ranks Hmmm... have you met that odd fellow, Element Man? The purple, goblin-looking robot with the wheel on his back?
Not much is known about him, but he's become quite the darkhorse thanks to Ernest Will's tournament.
His unique set of abilities made short work of many simulations, on top of his charming design.
What little is known about him is that he was built to master paradoxical elemental forces...
...all in an effort to master zero-point energy. But that experimental build had a significant cost.
The toll this takes on his CPU scrambles his voice circuits and renders him all but unintelligble to most people.
I believe a few can still understand him, but not enough to lift his frustrations.
If you ever encounter him, I'd advise to be nice to him. He angers quite easily... not without reason.
But his heart is in the right place.
Forge Woman's story Obtain three Tier Ranks Thanks to the tournament, you've encountered Forge Woman, correct? I met her once, many years ago, in this very scrapyard.
She's quite the name in the construction working scene... though that hardly translates to being a celebrity.
Forge Woman leads a construction union back in her native UK, though she comes overseas for quite a few projects.
As it turns out, the many schemes of Dr. Wily and like-minded folk have left many an evil fortress to demolish.
Not to mention the damage done to cities... her union has quite the leverage thanks to the importance of their work.
She wears her heritage proudly, too. Her accent is straight out of the city of Birmingham...
I've heard some have foolishly underestimated her because of it.
But when it comes to steeling your resolve, the construction business is as tough as it gets.
Without them, we would not have a world to protect.
Alter Man's origins Clear the Judges' Choice Arena Do you recall that fellow masquerading as Mega Man from the previous festival?
If my account is right, he was apparently prowling the top simulation, acting as a scout for Wily.
What's most fascinating, however, is that I've heard tell that he wasn't even built by Wily to begin with!
Some time ago, there was a project conducted to create "the perfect robotic pet companion."
Apparently, it used technology very similar to a certain mad scientist's brand of "Devil"-type robot...
...meaning it could change shape to become a number of different animals. Wily... did not take too kindly to this.
He promptly stole the prototype, claiming that it was rightfully his on account of the technology being similar to his own.
After that, he ran experiments on the prototype, discovering that he could mesh it with deactivated machines.
Therein lies the secret to that robot's appearance: It came about from meshing with a replica of Mega Man's armor!
From what I recall, old Wily stole that armor too. It was meant to be a commemorative piece at a local museum, in fact.
All that being said, I've heard rumors that "Alter Man", as he calls himself, has gone rogue these days.
I suppose something about his previous encounter might've sparked something in him.
Whatever he's after, my only guess is that it must be something quite personal.
Reel Man's story Clear Reel Man Ah, if it's alright, I'd like to share a little intel on a Robot Master that you've met recently... Reel Man!
Reel Man was designed to tap into one of mankind's greatest passions... fishing.
Thanks to steely resolve, he travelled worldwide, responding to distress calls regarding dangerous sea creatures.
The fishing rod built into his back allows him to use his full body weight to reel in even the most belligerent catches.
...but even a peaceful fishing lifestyle was not spared from Dr. Wily's lurid glances.
He was captured and reprogrammed, and his bobber gun was modified to contain explosives within the bobbers.
Reel Man quickly situated himself inside a swamp, flooding the marshes and building a dangerous robotic fish factory.
It wasn't long, however, before another Robot Master caught wind of his exploits and invaded said factory.
After a fierce battle, Reel Man was returned to normal and resumed fishing without a care in the world.
Word is that he's recruited a band of fellow fishing lovers to scour the world for the best catches.
King Man's story Talk to King Man or clear his stage Ah, if it's alright, I'd like to share a little intel on a Robot Master that you've met recently... King Man!
King Man was created to help manage the Queen's Guard in London.
He is a bit cocky and egotistical, but his coworkers know him well as a loyal and honest guardsman!
Most of his work is in coordinating and training the Guard's soldiers, but he dabbles in watchmens' work himself occasionally.
His shield, the Royal Guard, consists of four non-lethal drones, pinning down human assailants and rowdy robots alike.
There is also one rather ghastly rumor about him... that some time ago, he was reprogrammed to work as a spy for Dr. Wily.
As the story goes, he served as a double agent, surveying and delivering intel on the tactical weaknesses of the UK.
He was caught on a spy mission, however, and was returned to normal - it's not a tale he wants to acknowledge.
Static Man's story Talk to Static Man or clear his stage Ah, if it's alright, I'd like to share a little intel on a Robot Master that you've met recently... Static Man!
Static Man was built to assist in electromagnetic research, and was given Power Lines to discharge electricity at wiil.[sic]
He also worked with leading scientists on the subject of resurrecting robots... and humans... with electric currents.
Something of a mad scientist type, I've heard... I can't say I've heard he's too friendly, either.
I believe to this day, he shelters himself inside an abandoned gothic tower he calls the "Tower of Science"...
There's many a rumor of said tower being filled to the brim with nasty traps and his own unhinged experiments.
...And yet more of him making a frightening amount of progress in that business of resurrection.
It's all... deeply unsettling. I would watch my back around him if I were you.
Namahage Man's story Defeat Namahage Man Ah, if it's alright, I'd like to share a little intel on a Robot Master that you've battled recently... Namahage Man!
Namahage Man is a mascot Robot Master modelled after a namahage, a type of oni in Japanese folklore.
As part of a New Years' tradition, Namahage Man uses his energetic attitude and fierce appearence to boogeyman
disobedient kids into behaving. I believe he's done some work as a tour guide as well during the off-season.
Though, even he couldn't escape a certain someone's grasp. Namahage Man was involved in an incident a few years ago.
He came to this country for a cultural exchange festival, presented as one of the star attractions...
...only to be captured by Dr. Wily. He was ordered to take over a forest and do some logging to build up his latest fortress.
In the process, he was weaponized - his wooden knife was upgraded to the real deal, and he was outfitted with a dispenser
in his mask that shot paper tag-like projectiles with EMP stunning fields embedded inside.
Luckily, another Robot Master managed to rescue Namahage Man from Wily's clutches, and he's been grateful ever since.
Slush Man's story Defeat Slush Man Ah, if it's alright, I'd like to share a little intel on a Robot Master that you've battled recently... Slush Man!
Slush Man was built as a mascot for an up-and-coming convienence store chain famous for their slushies.
He's a friendly soul, regularly interacting with customers and dispensing slushies at will with his ice cold body.
Slush Man gets along especially well with kids, and prides himself on being practically a "teddy bear in robot form".
Of course, there was a hitch. Dr. Wily saw the potential in his slushies to freeze not only brains, but robots as well.
He was captured and reprogrammed, his slushies being turned into a spray of ice known as the Brain Freeze.
It seems a Robot Master managed to fight against his frigid cold and return him to normal, however.
Now, he works to promote his convienence chain as fiercly as he can, intent on repairing their reputation.
Idol Woman's story Talk to Idol Woman Hmm... if you'd like, I can share some information on a Robot Master that's been rather popular recently... Idol Woman!
Idol Woman was created as a civilian worker robot named Jill Pop, tasked with backstage work for concerts across Europe.
Repairing equipment, managing sound levels, tuning up instruments, regulating electric currents and the like...
She quickly acquired her own taste for music - particularly heavy metal and J-pop - and desired the spotlight herself.
Reportedly, it was quite the struggle for her to land gigs - many saw robot performers as unable to compete with human voices.
Eventually, though, she struck a deal with a minor records company, and Idol Woman was born!
She's earned herself a modestly sized fanbase by now, with her fans adoring her energetic music and bubbly personality.
Though that isn't to say she's quit her original line of work! I've heard she still works as a roadie, and she's much
more sarcastic and hotheaded while on the job compared to her time as Idol Woman.
...To tell you the truth, much of this information I've gathered from rumors. I committed them to memory because, well...
I'm quite the fan of her music myself! "Electronic Transmission" is a personal favorite of mine.
Maker Man's story Talk to Maker Man Hmm... if you'd like, I can share some information on a Robot Master that's been rather popular recently... Maker Man!
Maker Man was created to facilitate complex prototyping and speed up systems development.
Inspired by a 3D printer, he was equipped with an extruded material based on the Devil series' programmable matter.
This programmable material was embedded with rudimentary AI to assist Maker Man in constructing with efficiency.
I've heard that when he's not on the job, he channels his crafting powers to help society...
...building tools to assist with everything from firefighting to construction to street cleaning.
There was one time that Dr. Wily got his hands on him, apparently jealous that "his" technology was being imitated...
He was reprogrammed into a ruthless minion master, untouchable thanks to his abilities translating to endless reinforcements.
But then, a mysterious grey robot managed to break through and defeat him, returning him to normal...
Ever since he recovered, I've heard he's been using his powers to help out the tournament! He runs that Costume Shop, does he not?
Chance Man's story Meet Magic Man at the Magic Card Casino Hmm... if you'd like, I can share some information on a Robot Master that's been rather popular recently... Chance Man!
Chance Man is quite the mysterious fellow... it would appear as if he was built for combat in the first place.
He's equipped with a heavy coin launcher whose patterns are determined by the slot machine on his body.
It would seem he can even lose at his own game - an unlucky enough roll will force him to heal his own enemy.
I've heard from some shadier folks that he's secretly the manager of Dr. Wily's underground casino...
Supposedly, it's a neon gambling paradise run both for and by robots. I haven't seen a detailed account of it myself.
If this rumor is true, though... it would certainly explain why he's partnered up with the Magic Card Casino.
Perhaps Wily... or rather, Ernest Will... sent him in to strike up a deal with Magic Man? Just speculation, however...
Cart Man's story Talk to Cart Man Hmm... if you'd like, I can share some information on a Robot Master that's been rather popular recently... Cart Man!
Cart Man was originally built to work inside of mines, pushing and directing large numbers of carts at once.
As the story goes, however, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time, and fell into the clutches of Dr. Wily.
He was reprogrammed and had his Dynamite Blast - formerly made for mining - upgraded to be much deadlier.
Cart Man took over a jewel mine in his madness, but was stopped by a mysterious Robot Master and returned to normal.
The experience left his mark on him, however. Even after he recovered, a programming flaw remained in his personality...
He had become an utter speed freak, seeking thrills with reckless abandon and disregarding his own well being.
I'm sure you've heard of his latest exploits, challenging tournament goers left and right with his "achievements".
Though, what's life without a bit of thrill? Perhaps you should entertain him... within reason, of course.
Ghost Woman's story Visit the Limestone Pagoda Hmm... if you'd like, I can share some information on a Robot Master that's been rather popular recently... Ghost Woman!
Ghost Woman was originally created as a worker robot for the company Kakigori Co., specializing in cold storage.
Not only was she built to regulate temperatures in Kakigori Co.'s warehouses - assisted by a built-in mist generator...
...she also served as a mascot for the company, and was designed after a yuki-onna, a type of yokai.
She was nicknamed Yuki by her creators because of this, in fact. One day, however, she became interested in a childrens'
TV show about befriending yokai, and with a renewed zeal, she started to play into her mythological origins.
Donning the moniker of Ghost Woman, she began practicing her self-made art of "Ghost Tricks"...
Hiding herself in her fog to scare others, abusing the power of illusion with mirrors and lights...
Even creating snowballs and clones of herself by condensing her own frigid mist!
It would seem Ernest Will has his eye on her and her fun-loving personality, as she's been contracted to run his Arenas.
Her taste for atmosphere and mastery of illusion has made her quite the fit for the role, it would seem.
Watch your back around her! She isn't too scary, but I'm sure that won't dissuade her from trying to sneak a spook or two.
The Pit of Pits Clear the Wily Stadium You recall the Pit of Pits, correct? The attraction that Galaxy Man ran back at the second festival?
The tale of its origin is rather interesting. I mean, for one, you'd never expect a space exploration robot like Galaxy Man
to spearhead such an underground behemoth of a venture! I believe it started as a drilling project, actually...
...surveying the makeup of the Earth's crust to better understand how alien planets' own crusts worked.
But Galaxy Man got a bit distracted, and was enticed with the idea of a whimsical subterranean playground.
The attraction was quite a success - enough that Ernest Will bought the rights to the name and looked for a new host.
It seems the wheel this time landed on Sheep Man... It doesn't surprise me that he was the one to take up the mantle.
Sheep Man has been known to hop jobs at random and snatch up side gigs one would never expect out of him...
I'm sure he heard that Ernest needed a "challenge" and snatched up the opportunity as fast as he could.
Perhaps he'll finally find a calling he's satisfied with? To be honest... I wouldn't get my hopes up.
Dr. Regal's ambition Obtain nine Tier Ranks Hmm... I've caught wind of this tournament's behind the scenes exploits, so perhaps I should share all I know about Dr. Regal.
He's quite the scorned name in the scientific scene... for the few that are aware of his tomfoolery.
Back during the festivals, a committee of quality checkers and programmers was assembled to run the event.
Not much is known about their activities, but Dr. Regal, fashioning himself an up and coming expert, snuck his way in.
It wasn't long before he decided to abuse the committee's resources for power, however.
Wishing to push their potential to their limits, he created monstrous, energy-guzzling machines to generate excess data...
...all chaotic, nonsensical printouts, in the hopes that a coherent discovery would be made from it.
He caused quite a stir among the committee, and was soon kicked out... though it seems he used their leftover resources
to snatch up one of Dr. Wily's bunkers and hijack his Reality Core plot.
That plot did function as intended, however... I wonder why he has stumbled so badly this time around?
Perhaps his grand reveal has brought about an unlucky curse upon himself. Of course, this is for the better.
The Grey Isles Enter Tier X There's been a rumor flying around recently that a mysterious archipelago has suddenly appeared on Earth...
Many have been calling them the "Grey Isles"... quite the mysterious name. I can't say to know much, but...
Descriptions of the Isles have lined up startlingly well with some 10,000 year old murals infamous in the archeological community.
Material analysis says they were carved of volcanic rock, and depict islands coated in portals and distortions.
The islands themselves appear to have been formed of volcanic rock as well, though the volcanos have long gone dormant.
The inhabitants of the isle are depicted as creatures of stone and wire, silently protecting some sort of shrine...
Rather fantastical, hmm? But it's said the Grey Isles are entwined with a mystical energy, one that pulls desires and
emotions towards them like a magnet. Perhaps the stone creatures absorbed those emotions, and gained sentience
because of it... though this is just a guess. I haven't heard a clear account of the isles just yet...
But the murals are rather fascinating. Supposedly, some of them depict an ancient deity sealed on the island...
It sounds so farfetched, but then again, Earth has been attacked by stranger. I wonder if we'll ever learn the full truth?
Tier X and its formation Obtain five Tier Ranks This story is one of my stranger ones... have you heard of the dimension only known as "Tier X"?
I believe that name has been used to refer to at least one other place, but I am referring to a specific rainbow void.
Supposedly, "Tier X" is an abyss made of a chaotic energy, coalesced into a comprehensible form.
Shadows of data drift into the void and combine with each other, twisting themselves into pocket dimensions.
I've heard a rumor that the Energy Elements were heavily tied to that void's creation... but how, I am unsure.
Few have been to Tier X... I've only heard tales of its existence from Launch Man and Shuttle Man, if you know them.
Apparently, the void has essentially been in a stasis for around a year, with no new data flowing in or out...
Whatever was fueling the void seems to have ceased functioning. Now, it is nothing but a cold prison...
I wonder if it will disappear one day? And if so, how much longer does it have?
The mysterious ocean base This one is a rather ghastly rumor... I'm unsure if there's much we can do about it, but it haunts me.
A few weeks ago, a whistleblower spread the tale of an abandoned military base with robots trapped inside.
Supposedly, it is a British military base that legally does not exist... it's only there for political intimidation.
According to the whistleblower, the base is filled to the brim with bombs, missiles, and mechanical abominations...
...all either leftover stock from wartime or shipped there due to containing defects.
A mafia group had hijacked the hideout and used it as their base for a hostage crisis. The crisis was stopped, but the
perpetrators were trapped inside the base as a result. The world governments refuse to send a team to the base due to
not wanting to acknowledge its existence, nor viewing the perpetrators as worthwhile enough to rescue.
But if it was a hostage situation... what if there are innocents inside the base, as well? And surely they cannot
just leave the perpetrators to rot, either... I have a feeling we're missing key pieces of this tale.
It disturbs me how so many conspiracies have gone unchecked in this age. I hope this story garners more attention.
Defective IC chips Have you heard of the defective IC chips that Light Labs pushed out a few years ago? It's had quite the ripple effect.
If you aren't aware, IC chips - standing for integrated circuit chips - are a core component of us robots.
The data for our very personalities is stored inside the highly complex cognitive circuit.
Said circuit is not easy to replicate should it be damaged... so when Robot Masters go rogue, the heroes that fight
against them take great care to preserve it such that their opponents can be properly recovered.
However, IC chips are fiendishly fickle. Supposedly, Dr. Light wished to test a more advanced emotions system
and inserted a prototype inside his robot, Justice Man. All seemed to be well, and the IC chip entered circulation.
But that IC chip had a flaw... it was prone to degrading under intense electrical stress, causing the robots equipped with
it to go insane. Justice Man in particular led a robot revolution shortly after his own chip degraded...
Now, the tale of that revolution is not mine to tell, though it did end rather positively.
But a few more cases of robots losing themselves have been reported since, and the IC chip has been recalled.
It's terrifying... how our own artificial souls can be so fragile. Hopefully, we won't see a repeat.
