*Oil Man's design has proven to be somewhat controversial, as in the Japanese version of ''Mega Man Powered Up'', he had a mostly black color scheme with pink lips, resembling blackface (a type of makeup used to represent an offensive caricature of African-Americans). The English localization of ''Powered Up'' (and Oil Man's first two ''MaGMML'' appearances) attempts to rectify this by changing his color scheme to dark blue with yellow lips, while the ''Mega Man'' comics by Archie Comics (and his ''MaGMML3'' appearance) rectify this by having his red scarf cover up where his lips would be, while retaining his black color scheme. | *Oil Man's design has proven to be somewhat controversial, as in the Japanese version of ''Mega Man Powered Up'', he had a mostly black color scheme with pink lips, resembling blackface (a type of makeup used to represent an offensive caricature of African-Americans). Oil Man is a boss from Mega Man Powered Up. Originally designed by Dr. Light for maintenance, he was stolen and reprogrammed by Dr. Wily for combat.
He makes an appearance in the original Make a Good Mega Man Level as an NPC in Dr. Light's Lab, and in Make a Good Mega Man Level 2 as an NPC in the main hub. In both appearances, he uses sprites from Rockman 8 Famicom, a fangame meant to recreate Mega Man 8 in the style of the first six NES games (although Oil Man never actually appears in Rockman 8 Famicom).
Oil Man is one of the devkit bosses present in the Megamix Engine, and is set to appear as a devkit boss in Make a Good Mega Man Level 3 and Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level.

Battle
If Oil Man starts the battle close enough to a wall, he will begin by jumping onto the wall and firing three blobs of oil, which turn into puddles when they hit the ground, and drop straight to the ground after hitting a wall. The puddles will cause Mega Man to slip and fall if he attempts to run on them.
If Oil Man has just used the aforementioned attack, or starts the battle far enough from a wall, he will perform one of the following actions:
- Jump twice to reach the wall opposite of the one he was just at; Oil Man will land on Mega Man for the first jump, and will jump straight to the wall for the second jump.
- Walk forwards, jumping over to the wall once close enough to Mega Man.
- Create a sled of oil beneath his feet, sliding to the opposite wall at a high speed. Oil Man has a chance of repeating this attack up to three times.
After using one of these attacks, Oil Man will jump onto the wall again, restarting his pattern.
