Wire (ワイヤー Waiyā), also known as Wire Adaptor, is a Special Weapon from Mega Man 4, found in Dive Man's stage. If the player is holding Up on the controller while pressing the Fire button, Mega Man will shoot a wire upwards that latches to a ceiling if one is close enough, and then pulls Mega Man to the top of it. Mega Man can then shoot his buster while attached to the ceiling.

Make a Good Mega Man Level 2

Wire Adaptor is one of the weapons voted to appear in Make a Good Mega Man Level 2. It functions mostly the same as it did in Mega Man 4, but it has an additional ability in that the momentum of Wire Adaptor lifting Mega Man can be carried over by switching to another weapon.
