Cut Man is a boss from the original Mega Man. He was originally designed as a lumber-cutting robot, before being reprogrammed by Dr. Wily into a warrior for world conquest.
In both Make a Good Mega Man Level and Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, he appears as an NPC in Dr. Light's Lab. In the latter game, however, he is also a devkit boss, albeit one that went unused aside from a single appearance in the Pit of Pits. He remains in The Arena, however - completing this mode also unlocks him as a costume.
Like all MaGMML2 devkit bosses, Cut Man returns in the Megamix Engine, and is planned to appear as a devkit boss for Make a Good Mega Man Level 3 and Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level. He also appears in the Megamix Engine's Example Game, replacing Stone Man in the fifth Wily stage if the difficulty is set to Easy.

Battle
Cut Man has a simple AI, running across the arena and jumping when Mega Man gets close, unless he is about to use the Rolling Cutter. If he is hit by Mega Man when he is on the ground or a set amount of time passes, he will ready and throw the Rolling Cutter at Mega Man.
Using creation code, a "hasKnockback" variable in Cut Man can be set to true. If so, Cut Man will flinch when hit by an attack, as he did in Mega Man.

Trivia
- In Make a Good Mega Man Level 2, none of his sound effects from Mega Man are used. Following the release of the Megamix Engine, these sounds are properly implemented.
