Fire Man is a boss from the original Mega Man. Originally designed for waste disposal by Dr. Light, he was later reprogrammed by Dr. Wily for combat.
He appears in both Make a Good Mega Man Level and Make a Good Mega Man Level 2 as an NPC in Dr. Light's Lab. In MaGMML2, he also appears in the final level, Null and Void, where he serves as a boss in Zieldak's level on Floor 4.
Fire Man was added as a devkit boss with the release of the Megamix Engine, and will subsequently appear in Make a Good Mega Man Level 3 in that capacity. Before that game's release, he debuted in Make a Good 48 Hour Mega Man Level as the boss of Burning Bunker, Crashing in the Dark, and Spicy Banana Bread Storehouse.

Battle
Fire Man's first priority is to run up to Mega Man until there is a certain distance between the two. If Mega Man moves, Fire Man will move accordingly until he is once again an ideal distance from Mega Man. If there isn't enough room between Mega Man and the wall, Fire Man will run past Mega Man and try to make room at the other side of the screen. Once Fire Man is properly positioned, he will shoot large fire projectiles. These projectiles sometimes leave small flames, usually right below Mega Man.
Because Fire Man only attacks once he's put a certain distance between himself and Mega Man, rapid movement will lead to Fire Man shooting a barrage of projectiles, to the point of becoming almost impossible to dodge. On the other hand, staying close enough to Fire Man will result in him almost never attacking, instead only running back and forth across the room. However, regardless of his position, Fire Man will shoot a fire projectile if he is shot by Mega Man.
